Video help needed

As the saying goes; "A picture is worth a thousand words."

I'm presently teaching from books by copying drawings from websites, the copyright has expired & the drawings are "public domain", & giving such to the class since one book alone cost $37. The problem is that the writer's notes are not always legible, even though my laser printer is set to 1200 dpi, due to penmanship.

1) Can notes on captured web drawings be edited? If so, what software program is required & are there free programs that will also do such?

2) If I can get the notes corrected, what video equipment is needed off the serial / usb ports in order to have a slide show presentation of such?

I have checked with the writer's estate asking if the works were available on CD-ROM. I was told that such was being considered but, since it would be labor intensive, no decision had been reached.

Rather then wait I would like to proceed if possible.

Thanks in advance for your help

How are you currently capturing these drawings, as .JPG? Are the writer's notes part of the graphic file that is captured? Are you wanting to edit the captured picture so as to change the writing somehow?

As for the presentation, you can run your video connection into a projector if you have access to one. You can use some sort of video program (Windows Movie Maker, ULEAD, Pinnacle Studio, etc.) to make an automated slideshow, or you can just manually click through them.
