do the manufacturers lie about the numbers

hi i was just tryin to catch up on the latest in graphics cards and i was just thinkin,if i bought the XFX 500£ card,is it all just a scam? i mean are the numbers they show u real? 60.4 Gb/sec.? all the others are less than 55 what do you think?

Manufacturers do not outright lie about numbers. They do however tweak them for the best possible benchmarks. Be sure to see what kind of system they put the card into before relying too much on the benchmark scores.

You do not have to spend $500 on a video card for good gaming. There are plenty of cards for a lower price that will do the job.
