I just bought a new acer lCD monitor and connected to my computer my dispaly colours are terrible have tried updating video card drivers and still no luck can only use the screen resolution 800 to 600 any other it looks awful.
I play scrabble on the internet and when I go into my board to play the colors are not right and are all smeared.
I didn`t disable the integrated video card as I couldn`t find it but when I tried to connect to it instead of the other video card I have the monitor doesn`t get a signal. Am at a loss as to why this monitor is acting this way does anywone have any ideas.
Reason for new monitor my other one just went black on me and I can`t use it either.

I guess I didn`t make myself clear I cannot change the resolution it has to stay as that is the only place that I can see the image at all I realize there is something wrong but am not sure how to fix it. There are no drivers that come with the monitor it just does things automatically and am sure it isn`t right but guess the question I am asking is what could be the problem and how do I fix it. I use windows 2000.
