Ati Catalyst drivers
i have a video card msi Ati X300 Hm. my question is that do i get much better performance boost if i get the ati catalyst unified drivers than the Vendors like msi?

I believe MSI (as do all) distrubutes ATI drivers. Installing the latest drivers from MSI's (I believe it's just a redirect to ATI's) or ATI's site *might* give you a slight performance increase (we're talking 2-3%).

thank's for your help. i'm just using this as a temporary card until i get a Geforce 6600gt which i'm saving out for.

If it's temporary, I'd recommend the generic ATI 5.11 Catalyst drivers, control panel version, not catalyst control center version. This is the last version that doesn't require .NET Framework. There really isn't any advantage to trying to tweak a X300 Hypermemory card - it's a low end card.
