C Media Soundcard refusing driver
Hi! a friend of mine recently got a new harddrive, and their IT guy used a new WinXP disk for the re-install. (not the restore disk that came with the pc). Now the C Media sound card doesn't work. According to device manager, there is no appropriate driver installed, so I ran the windows driver finder, which installed something, but I ve got the same problem. I downloaded the driver off another website, and it says its already installed and exits. Tried removing and reinstalling, but nothing. Any ideas? Thanks.
