eVga 7900 GTX 512 and eVga GeForce FX 5500
I have a asus p5wdg2-ws MB, In the first pci express slot I have an eVga 7900 GTX 512, one of those double wide jobs. I want to run three monitors the quality of the third monitor doen't need to be that great. There is absolutely no room for another video card in the second pci express slot so I bought an eVga GeForce FX 5500 pci card. Well I installed and the card is recognized in windows but when I install the new hardware theres no drivers or software. I thought it would use the nvidia drivers that are already installed for the 7900 GTX but it doesn't.
Does anyone know how to get this card to work? Thanks, Dan |

Did you install the drivers off the CD. I would think you'd need to install two seperate drivers, one for each card.

I didn't know two cards could co-exist without SLI in Windows, besides the old-school SLI of 3DFX. I'm not saying you can't, but I didn't know it was possible without some hardcore mods.
Can you see both cards in the device manager? |

Try reinstalling the nVidia drivers. Download a new version from the internet and use DriverCleaner before you install it to remove the old version.
