speakers or headphones?

I'm debating whether I should trade my Klipsch 2.1 ProMedia speakers for a pair of Sennheiser HD-555's.

What are the pro's and con's of headphones? I read some nice reviews of that particular earphone, and I'm really looking into getting them. BUT.

I want to ask some of you with experience with headphones. Is my current pair of speakers better for music than those headphones? I like playing games, but mostly will be listening to music. I listen to music basically while I work at the computer, which would be listening for over 6-8 hours or more. Would the speakers be better, or headphones? Quality which would be better? Basically just help me out, and see which is best.

Advantages of headphones: You won't tick off everyone else in the house.

Disadvantages: Having something on your head and in your ears all the time, more potential for hearing damage.

If you have to sell the Klipsch to get headphones, I'd recommend you don't. When you can afford headphones then get them and use them selectively.
