newbie tv tuner install question
Hello All:
I'm about to build my first pc and am completely clueless as to how to hook up a tuner card. I'm only interested in watching tv and listening to the radio-don't care about recording. I'm looking to just use an antennae similar to my old win 98 set-up. I'm looking at the Asus card and have ordered a mobo with integral sound and a decent video card. Basically my 2 questions are this: can these tuners be used without a separate sound card? and is one of these tuner cards and a separate video card duplicative-can they be used together? thanks for looking and my apologies if this has been covered before (couldn't find anything with search) |

1. Yes, as long as you do have onboard sound.
2. You can use either a separate video card and tuner card, or a combo card such as an ATI All-in-Wonder. |
