Echo
I have just moved. Ever since setting up my pc (an old one-Duron 1 Ghz) I have had an echo effect in my audio. Like the sound source is in a large tin box. Device Manager shows it (AC'97) is working properly. The driver is old but the sound has always worked well and I suspect that the driver isn't the problem. I intend to upgrade (my first build- thanks to the info here and the confidence it inspires) but the time(money) is not yet. And the Conroe mobos, chipsets, etc mature  Meanwhile I'd like to fix this. Thanx
