JPEG to TIFF or RAW converter

I have a camera right now that only takes JPEG Images. Well I need to convert these images to TIFF or RAW files. Is there a program that can do that for me? Im using mac computer to do some photo editing with adobe light room and the mac computer will only take in TIFF and RAW plus these pics are huge.

I'm not an expert but I do enjoy taking photos. Raw files are from the camera and are basically what the camera gets with no in-camera processing other than compression. TIFF files, on the other hand, do the in-camera processing but are uncompressed.

Unless you're going to do extensive editing, there wouldn't be much advantage to converting JPEG to TIFF. If you're doing a lot of editing I think TIFF files don't suffer from some of the compression degradation that JPEGs do when you open, edit, and save again.

You might try the forums on DPReview to get comments from photographers who are more technically oriented than I am.
