Someone talked some sense into Redmond?

Maybe they are figuring it out that not all that many folks want to jump to Vista.... I don't have any plans too.

That's what i've been saying all along. They can't expect everyone to switch or have the money to buy a 8800GTS or GTX. They would really destroy the mood of people who recently upgraded to a nice 7900 or 7950 series DX9.0 card. I know I would be disappointed since my two 7900GS wouldn't be able to do anything.

And..the fact that by the dx10 games truely use dx10 capability to 50 percent potential. These current line of dx10 cards will be destroyed by newer, more efficient (in terms of power and heat) generation of cards.

Well, it's nice to see they finally pulled their heads out and thought of their customers for once.

Well bummer. Guess I was wrong about them then.....they still know where their heads go.
Doesn't look like that would be too good of a move, making people buy a new OS as well as a new graphics card. They'll probably still make alot of money off of it though, just from the "gotta have it" group. |
