watching movies with multiple monitors

i have a laptop and an lcd screen. How do i set it up so that i can use both screens to watch a fullscreen movie? or even just have the movie playing on both screens?
i have an nvidia graphics card. right now i have the desktop extending onto my lcd screen.

Turn off the desktop extension and you *should* get a simultaneous display, controllable by the Fn key sequence (LCD, CRT, both).

when you connect tv out to tv, click on desktop click on properties click on settings choose your desplay click apply and click on ok.
