Best way to hook up a ps3 to a lcd

hi guys, i recently reserved a ps3 and i am now looking for the best way to hook it up to my 2007wfp monitor, i was thinking on using the hdmi to dvi, but if possible do you guys think i could use a hdmi to dvi, then use a dvi to vga adapter, so i could use the vga port, i dont want the hasstle of unpluging my dvi cable each time to switch between pc and ps3. do you guys think this would be okay? would it damage the monitor? or do guys have a better solution to my problem

also i've tried using the analog video in, w/ a x360 but it looks horrible, so i elminate to idea of using that port.
