Video Card advice required
I was all set to order the parts for my new build when i found out my supplier does not have the video card I want in stock. I was going to order a 7600GT to go in my Asus P5B and Core Duo CPU.
I don't know much about video cards and I'm not a big time gamer. Could you recommend a video card that is comparable to the 7600GT? Thanx

You can always get a 7900GS for the same price. Instead of 12 pixel pipelines, you get 20, plus the clock speeds of the cards are pretty close as well. I have one, and I can run every game I own at max settings at 1440x900 with all the eye candy and 4x anti-aliasing no problem. I picked up mine at Best Buy on sale for $150, but they can be had for close to that. My card is a PNY, which doesnt follow the nVidia reference board. The eVGA model is probably the best 7900GS out there right now. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130056 If youre wondering, the card performs somewhere between a 7800GT and 7800GTX.
doh! Didnt see you were in Canada. 7900GS's average ~$20+ more than the 7600GT in your neck of the woods.

eVGA has great customer support compared to the other brands, thats why we recommend them. They are available in Canada. Check it out: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...nufacture=eVGA
