I get this message occasionally when going from one player to another one:
Bad DirectSound driver. Please install proper drivers or select another device in configuration. Error code: 80070057 The only way I know to correct it is to reboot my PC. I have no idea what causes it. When I go from one player to another in the course of listening to different sources of audio files, I get the error. For instance, I may listen to an Internet station streaming mp3's. Then if I try to play a file in SoundForge, it will give me the Bad DirectSound driver error. Or if I play a file in WMP, then try to play an mp3 in WinAmp, it may give me the error. Anybody know what's causing it? Or how to fix it? Thanks. |
