slow/wavy scrolling

Howdy,

I installed a Radeon X1600 pro on my athalon 2400+. I have had 2 (probably related) problems. When I scroll on a web page I get a slow and wavy image, not fast and crisp. I'm also get a pixel shader error when I try to run Lego Starwars 2. I have the latest drivers (8.31.0.0). Any ideas?

Thanks.

When I've had that problem before, I uninstalled the video drivers, booted into safe mode and ran Driver Cleaner Pro to FULLY clean them out, then rebooted, clicked cancel on the "new hardware" popup, then reinstalled the drivers. By the way, the latest ATI drivers are the 6.11 Catalyst drivers, not sure what 8.31.0.0 are.

I did all of the above with no luck. I did have 6.11 drivers. The other number is just what was listed under device manager/radeon x1600/properties/driver.
