Dual Monitors with SLi

Hi, thanks for reading.

I don't know if it's possible or not, I remember a few years ago it wasn't, but I'd like to know if you can have 2 monitors after you go SLi.

My brother is building a system with 2 BFG 7600 GT OC's, on a A8N-32 with a 4400+ Toledo.

He's got a 6800 GT right now and is used to having dual screen.

Thanks, Mark.

Spearball, please don't guess. If you don't know something for a fact, please don't post.

No, you can't.

He's going to have to do without SLI if he's going with dual monitors. Besides, a single more powerful will be better performance wise.

Well then, how easy is it to enable/disable SLi? I imagine you only need it when the game is on. But he kinda got used to having the 2nd monitor with TeamSpeak. I guess we can install TS Overlay.

Maybe we should end back the 2 7600 GT OC's that he ordered $75 each and get one 7950 GTX?? That would be better, but would it also be more money?

I guess later though he could buy another 7950 GTX and run SLi with those!!

Disabling SLI in the Nvidia Control Panel is merely unchecking a box.

That said, I would highly recommend switching the two cards for one 7950. You will be much happier with video performance, and you'll be able to use the second display without worrying about disabling SLI everytime you want to play.
