Question Trouble with Macromedia Flash 8 and Adobe Photoshop CS2

First off, I'm having trouble trying to get macromedia flash 8 open an AI file (Adobe Illustrator). When I select it either by opening or importing, it doesn't even show anything from the file.
Second, I can't find a way to add the background I want to use for my project to the current project. I used photoshop to open an AI file to color and separate, but I still need to get the background somehow in there.

I don't believe Flash 8 can import a Illustrator format file correctly, although I'm not 100% sure of that. To move between programs, your better off using a standard format like .eps.

As for the background - add a layer to the project in photoshop and bring your backgroun in on that layer. The Photoshop help menu is an astonishing thing once it's opened.
