Radeon 9600 pro Vs 6600 AGP
Hi all,
This isnt exactly a problem but a question. My friend says a Radeon 9600 Pro (AGP) is the equiviliant to a Nvidia Geforce 6600 (AGP) He says that they would besicly perform the same..Is this correct? Because I thought that the 9600 pro would only be the equivilient to a nvidia 6200but he says its the 6600 that my 9600 is just as good as. Is this true? Thanks |

According to Tom's Hardware a 6600GT is much better than a 9600Pro in game frame rates and 3DMark tests.

I don't read the post as 6600GT - I read it as 6600. BIG difference in benches. The 9600 Pro and 6600 are a lot closer - but the 6600 does have an edge. That test doesn't have a 6200, but the closest Nvidias in the test to a 9600 Pro are a FX 5700 and FX 5700 Ultra.
