my monitor goes blank when I restart
I have a Samsung SyncMaster 941BW, the settings are 1440x900 and 60hz. When I change it to 75 hz it works fine, but when I restart and it boots up windows and gets to the welcome screen it's completely black. The only way for me to see it is to pull the monitor cable out then plug it back in again. I have the drivers installed although on the cd they only had 940bw display drivers.
I also noticed when I changed it from another resolution @ 75hz to the max resolution @75hz the monitor would go completely haywire and turn into a screen full of blocks and indescernable images. It's fine if I change it from a 60hz at another resolution to the max at 60hz. Though I leave it at the max@60hz to be safe. and i don't have a problem. |

Leave it at 60 Hz. There is no reason to run a LCD at any other setting. LCD's don't refresh in the traditional sense.
