4 bit color quality setting...

I am running a 7900 GTO and have been having trouble playing Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter with the card. It heats up to over 60 and crashin the game on me. Which leaves me with a 4 bit color setting. Is it the card or what? What can I do to fix this bug...
