No audio on my hauppauge WinTV-PVR-150 MCE

I just got a hauppauge WinTV-PVR-150 MCE off newegg and installed it so i could record TV and DVD's on my PC and make family movies etc. So i installed the card and i opened windows movie maker and hooked up my dvd player threw the composite jacks and i get the video but there is no audio? What did i do wrong?

I believe you have to connect a cable from the sound output of the DVD player to the line input of your sound card. The composite jacks only carry the video if I'm not mistaken.

I used to use this card, the red and white jacks are audio in, those need to be connected to a sound source to get audio. I used to run audio out from my digital cable box to the red and white jacks on the pvr-150 and then a separate video cable. I then ran audio out from my soundcard to my speakers.
