Video goes blank after 10 seonds?

Doin' the easter thing at my brother in law's house and his computer is doing this weird thing with all video. Doesn't matter if it's coming from a dvd or you tube! 10 second play max and the video goes blank! Is this a video chipset thing or what? Thanks and a very happy Easter everyone!!!

Sounds like a possible heat problem. Check to make sure all fans are working and heatsinks aren't clogged with dust.
