Sound card install
Hello,
My custom built pc using the Antec case has input connections on the front panel for a mic, and head phones. The mic has not been working properly for some time (low output volume when using teamspeak or ventrillo, and not sure just where the problem lies. I am considering installing a Creative SBX-F1 Extream Gamer sound card. My question is, do I need connect wires from the sound card to the front ports, or does it happen automatically when the card is installed. Thanks for your assistance.

You need to disable the onboard sound in the bios, remove the front panel wires from the mobo and attach them to the sound card and return the mobo sound jumpers to their original positions.
