Speaker problem.
My system setup is below. My problem is that when I am using 5.1 on my SB Audigy 2ZS I get distroted "screetch" sounds. When I unplug the center speaker wire from the sound card I get normal sound quality again. When I use my mp3 player to test each sound port (3: 1 center, 1 Front R,L, 1 Rear R,L), each channel is fine. I can hear normal sound. In fact the moment I put the center speaker into the sound card, all speaker channels fail and get that screetching sound. Without the center speaker, the 4/4.1 setup works well. I am guessing the sound card port has failed? I have already reinstalled the drivers, but does not seem to work. What I do know is the Z5300 comes with resistance fuse 1.6amps which safeguards the speakers from dangerous currents. If it goes off, the whole speaker could not be turned on.
Thanks for the help

What happens when you connect to only the C/F channels, and only the C/R channels?

Center alone works. Anything else connected while center is connected results to failure. Without center works

If the complete speaker setup once worked ok, then it appears that the sound card is bad.
