Just crazy enough to work
I had an idea, but I don't know if it will work: using a laptop as a monitor.
I was wondering if there was some sort of cable that could convert from s-video or DVI into USB. That would be the first step. Next, I would have to figure out how to send that signal directly to my Laptop's monitor. I'm using a Dell Inspiron E1505 w/Ubuntu Linux ver. 7.04. It'll probably be something along the lines of changing a few config files or using a specialized program. I don't suppose anyone has any ideas on this part? Thanks for humoring me. If you think this is just stupid, I don't blame you, but I thought I might as well try. |

You can get USB TV tuners so you can view TV on the computer but if your talking about making the laptop screen a slave PC monitor from another PC then I would say no.

Dang.
Thanks for the response, though. I'm surprised anyone would give any thought to such a crazy idea. |
