graphics card

i bought a new pc the other month and the vid card wont work on alot of games can some one give me some advice on wot to do and how to fit a new graphics card plz

Is this a brand name PC like a Dell/HP/Acer/Sony? If it is we will need the exact model number to see if it is using on-board video and has an expansion slot for an add-on video card. Would need to know the PSU watts also, so that if adding a video card, the PSU can handle it.
If a custom or home built, will need the full specs of the unit: brand/model number of each part/ size of PSU.

My Current Rig:
MSI MS-6712 1.0 (socket A 462) with 2.15 gigahertz AMD Athlon XP 3000+, 2x Barracuda 160GB IDE HD's, 2x Kingston 512mb DDR PC2700 (166mhz) Memory. 2 IDE DVD drives, 1 External HD and one external DVD burner.
