Tiny red lines on 46in Plasma
My gradparents bought a Toshiba 46in Plasma about 9 months ago from Best Buy. Within the past month I have been noticing tiny red lines...about 3 inches apart from each other. Is is a little hard to see unless you are looking at the tv from an angle.
Any TV guys in here know any more on this? Grandparents have no idea its there, but I want to have it checked if it might be a sign of future failure.

There should not be any lines on the screen. Make sure the cables are securely connected.
If they're ok, then see if the lines are present with different video signal sources, e.g., antenna, cable, DVD player, VCR, etc. If they're present from just one source, then either the source, or the source's cable may be the cause. If they're present from all sources, then the cause may be the tv. Have the supplier take care of it under warranty. |
