Low Hz For Digital
So i'm having a small problem with my screen. On analogue i can get a refresh rate of upto 75Hz, i think about 72, 70 and 60.
However on Digital it can only manage 59 and 60Hz. Now correct me as i may be wrong, but the whole purpose of Digital I thought was to allow higher screen refresh rates. I've downloaded all the latest graphics and motherboard drivers, along with the latest DirectX with alas still no higher refresh rates. The screen is an LG FLATRON Wide 19", the graphics card is an 8800, so i'd presume it was capable of doing high digital levels. It's got me slightly stumped as i'd prefer to use the digital output to its best. Thanks in advance. |

60 Hz is all you need for LCD. Digital's purpose is to avoid the loss in quality from digital/analog conversions, not to allow a higher refresh rate. All higher refresh rates do for you is stop flicker on CRT's, LCD's do not flicker no matter what.
