Movie playback problem
The problem occurs while attempting to view a movie from DVD or from the files saved to my HDD. PowerDVD and WinDVD play back all movies in B&W but they will play in color using WMP. I installed an older version of Power DVD and also downloaded the newest version but get the same results.

Uninstall WMP and one of the problematic movie players, and see if the other movie player works properly.

You were on the right track ski. I slept on it last night and decided to uninstall WMP and all other video viewing softwares. I did a dood cleaning and reinstalled PowerDVD and all is well.
