How do you remove it?

I accidentally installed a wrong codec, TechSmith Capture Codec, and would like to remove it.

Any ideas?

I guess I'm not having a good day... Step one is:

1. In Control Panel, double-click Multimedia.

but I don't have a choice of Multimedia in either normal view or classic view... I did go thru all the choices to see if it was nested, but no joy.

Any ideas?

Ok, I looked around and in Device Manage...r go to Sound, Video and Games Controllers then go to Audio Codecs or Video codecs then Properties. There is a button for remove the Codecs but I'm not sure if that will do what you need. An Idea though.

Good find, Lespaul20! I was able to remove it from there. Thanks

I was looking at a tutorial for CamStudio on reducing file size, and the example showed to pick that codec for best results. It wasn't on CS's list, so I found it and D/L'd it. When I tried to run it, the codec gave an error that a $400 program wasn't installed... I didn't pay close enough attention and *thought* it was a free codec....
