case sound input with sound card
i have a antec 900 case with audio ports on the top which include a connection with 7/8 holes open, a typical audio connection. However my motherboard sound gave out long ago and so i cant use it with that. I have a sound card, the creative audigy SE which had a four pin connection for the optical drive, is there any way in which i can connect my case audio ports to the sound card?

Not unless the card has headers for that.

even thought though i cant use the onboard audio through its ports, do you think that if i downloaded the drivers for it then it would work with the case audio ports?

If your on-board audio is dead then you won't get audio to the case connections either.
