LOL! Ya!! That's the ticket! - heck, we could even put a little storage drawer in the lobe so I don't ever lose the buds

Do you prefer green, blue, or red neon? Also...what size fans should be install? 120mm seems a bit much...

Well... today is probably not the day to test ear buds as I blasting my Klipsch THXs last knight for hours... Was at Target this morning and picked up a set of $10 Sonys. They are bud types instead of what I call "torpedo" types; they were smaller diameter than the pair that was included with the player.

The good news is that they actually fit and stay in. They are not, however, as good as the included ones... Not near as crisp or clear. Lots of bass, but is noticeably muddled compared to the freebies. They also don't have the highs, either. They're there, but diminished. A slight crank on the treble would probably cure that, if only I had a treble. There are some EQ presets I'll have to play with.

I guess I'll keep them, since they do at least stay in. Besides, I'll be listening to radio mostly, anyway.

Ya, me too -- Overall, I'm happy with them. Just did hours worth of yard work and they never really fell out. A couple of times I caught the wires or the like, but they didn't fall out on their own. Sure beats "trying" to hear the stereo cranked up over in the work shed. By contrast, they're great.

I usually just run the cord under my shirt, this way i don't ever accidentally get it caught.

Speaking of wire management... what's a typical way to run the wires? Meaning, does the 'Y' part go under the chin, or do you have them come out of your shirt and go behind the neck?

The ones i have now, the cord for the right ear is longer, so i wrap that around the back of my neck and put it in my right ear. So my "Y" comes up out of my shirt on my left side.

I have to correct my statement that this little unit doesn't have EQ... I've gotten to play with it more and it does have a 5 band EQ

And ya... I hate it when you get the wrong color of something, too!! I just ordered some shoes that came in white when I ordered black. Too much hassle sending them back, so I keep them.

Finally got a response from CS. After I emailed them asking for a number I just called the number to make an order. They said they don't even know what color they send out.

So I'm sending them back. My brilliant plan to save a few bucks by not paying tax has thus backfired and cost me a week of waiting. Guess it's off to bestbuy tomorrow to get what I want.

How much are they at BB? Is it worth it? And... you're right, my shoes are slowly turning black

It's the same price at bestbuy, except i would also have to pay tax.

Figure I'll go pick them up tomorrow, and while i'm out, I'll just drop off this return box at UPS.
