Question Using A Graphic Card

Hello Guys,

My motherboard got Intel Extreme Graphics Engine 2 integrated. I have already bought GF 6200 256MB(AGPX8). I am not into havy gaming anyway and I would like to know in this instance the advantage of using this card instead of the integrated one that the motherboard has to offer. What will happen to the Intel Extreme Graphics Engine while I will be using the graphic card.
MOBO: GA-81865GME-775-RH (REV6.6) 1.6 Celeron D 420 1.6 Ghz.

Thierry.

If you do any kind of gaming you will notice a little difference. You will probably have to disable the onboard Video and after that it will do nothing.

A 6200 won't do a huge dent in gaming performance, but most anything is better than onboard video. What kind of games do you play?

It might not do any good to offer advice, since you already bought the card. If you are into overclocking though, someone on here might be able to help you snag a few extra frames per second out of your new toy.

The onboard graphics will automatically disable when you put a card into the AGP slot.

The only non-gaming advantage to using a card is the release of shared ram back to the system.
