I try to capture content from my tv card but windows media encoder 9 freezes,
its a common problem that windows media encoder doesnt support tv cards that are WDM. To be specific i need to stream WMV content from windows media encoder to my server |

InterVideo WinDVR is one you can try. Not free, unfortunately.

I have an AIW 9600 pro that has a TV Tuner. After fighting with ATi's software for years, I finally bit the bullet and went hunting for alternatives. None of the free ones I tried worked very well (or at all) with this card using WDM drivers.
I gave this a try, and it seemed to work: http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satelli.../1177441133965 It ain't cheap, though. Here's a free one I just came across with a quick google search: http://www.download32.com/msdvr-2000-i18089.html [edit]: you can also try parusing and/or posting on the forums here: http://www.videohelp.com/

You weren't specific as to what you were using WME for...it does a number of things. I assumed simply acting as a DVR.
Although, you may want to look into something like that. There's a few freeware and opensource packages out there you could try out and see if you like. |
