screen resolution wont stay set
every time I restart my computer I have to reset my screen resolution. A friend thinks it could be the mobo, or ram not communicating , I just replaced a bad hdd if that matters.

Give your full specs, please. Do you have the correct video drivers installed?

all drivers are installed.

my friend thinks I might have had an electrical surge that did some damage to the mobo, ram
or maybe the video card (I do have a surge protector) forgot to mention when I open somethings like my anti-spyware it will make the screen go black and the page will be so big I cant close it ( the close button is off the monitor) I have to use hot keys windows-m then right click on that page and click maximize if I click restore it will be to big again Last edited by i8uiky; 12-27-2007 at 06:34 PM. |

Are you running Vista or something else?? (And tell us what). Vista may be the main problem, especially if you upgraded to it on existing hardware.
