On/Off controller for audio cassete recorder.

Hi folks. Does anyone know of a controller mike for a cassette recorder? I have a recorder that records at 1/4 speed & would like to use voice operation with it. Am watching some training videos & want to use recorder instead of paper for notes & feedback. I went online & found lots of non-relevant pages. Found a couple of sources for voice activated recorders but don't want to buy another if I can use this one. Thanks for any help.
