Is there an error on the player saying that your flash player may be outdated when you play the video? If so, uninstall your flash drivers and reinstall flash player.

No error reports at all. It just loads the page but the video stream is dead.

Was it working before? Regardless try uninstalling the flash video player, restart, and download it again. See what happens.

If everything else plays but Yahoo! wait a few days and try again, the chances are good the problem is at Yahoo! end not at yours.

Maybe you should clear your internet history. A good tool is CCleaner which is free to download.

To take Dave21's suggestion one step further, have you tried a restore point ?
It would also help if you looked back over the last few days for any new installs or updates and looked at the desktop's settings as compared to your laptop. |

I have ran ccleaner, tune-up utilities, and registry mechanic whic I have never had a problem from any of the 3. Pam, I am always playing around with new programs trying them out but I always only download them from Cnet or another safe site. I will check my settings next but I have ran out of spare time to do it as I have to leave for work and will be gone several days. I will be back at the forum when I return to look for more answers. Appreciate all the help.

Yahoo! Music Jukebox ActiveX Control Buffer Overflows
Description: Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Yahoo! Music Jukebox, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system. 1) A boundary error in the YMP DataGrid ActiveX control (datagrid.dll) when handling arguments passed to the "AddImage()" and "AddButton()" methods can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via an overly long argument. 2) A boundary error in the Yahoo! Mediagrid ActiveX control (mediagridax.dll) when handling arguments passed to the "AddBitmap()" method can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via an overly long argument. Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code when a user e.g. visits a malicious website. NOTE: Working exploit code is publicly available. The vulnerabilities are confirmed in Yahoo! Music Jukebox version 2.2.2.056. Other versions may also be affected. Solution: Set the kill-bit for the affected ActiveX controls »secunia.com/advisories/28757/ -- Wilders Security Forum Admin Microsoft MVP I found this on broadbandreports.com please see what you think. |

If you just found this now, did you run a malware scan and has there been an update installed on the desktop that wasn't installed on the laptop ?
