Capture from Camera
Kinda odd question hope its in the right section. I have a Canon ES8400v HI8 video camera with video of my now passed away grandparents. It has a flexzone port? which fits a cable that came with my laptop a Acer Aspire 7720. Now the odd question am I too believe I could capture through this cable? It would blow my moms mind for me to be able to burn a nice dvd video of em with some music. Thanks for any info.
Oops almost forgot I have already googled to the high heavens and cant find an answer.

Googling that unit indicates it's an analog, versus digital, camera. Flexzone seems to be just a camera focusing feature. The actual outputs are RCA to fix VCR machines. In short, you would need a capture device, movie editing software (which may or may not include DVD authoring software), and then a DVD burner and media. You "capture" the output / movie, edit it to your liking, give it menus and the like, and burn it to disk.
