VIdeo Card Confusion
Well, as I've been focusing on my studies and various other things these past several years, I've been completely unable to keep up with the latest hardware advances. That being the case, I've run into a problem which may or may not necessitate the replacement of my current video card, a Radeon 9800 Pro. I just need advice on what currently available card I could buy that would at least match the performance of my 9800 Pro. Although it seems as if AGP is rapidly becoming obsolete, the new card needs to AGP; I'm not yet willing to perform any kind of wholesale upgrade. Any thoughts and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

The Radeon HD 2600 Pro should handily beat the 9800 in all respects. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102709 If you prefer Nvidia these days due to driver issues, as I do, a 7600GS is a good choice. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121064 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125039 |
