PVR: Digital In/Analog Out
I have been wanting to build a PVR for awhile. The upcoming elimination of analog broadcasting is giving me a "push" to get one built.
I have only analog TV's, using a rooftop antenna with very good reception. I ran coax from the antenna to my "wire room" where I have splitters for coax running to rooms with a TV. (Also have wired network pretty much everywhere.) I want to build a PVR capable of receiving digital broadcasts and then send a signal which my analog TV's can use. I would also like to be able to record digital broadcast, which I could later watch on analog TV's. I have plenty of older PC's I can dedicate to this project, but don't know which TV cards can do what I need. Thanks in advance for help and advice, Bill |
