Best 19" LCD for gaming.
Hey guys. I'm building a gaming rig now, and i'm looking for a replacement for the Viewsonic E90f CRT I have now. It'll be powered by a Radeon 4870.
What LCD displays are best for gaming? I'll be playing high action games, so a low refresh rate and high contrast ratio would be nice. Last edited by dacomputernerd; 12-16-2008 at 12:17 PM. |

I should also mention that I have very good eyesight, and i'll notice any ghosting, however minor.
Therefore I want the best response time possible. |

Again, I'd look at Samsung. Do you have a budget or size preference?

Samsung monitors aren't too bad, some other good brands include Acer, Benq, LG and Viewsonic (These are all the brands I've tried out so far and had a good experience with).
Take a look at this display 22inch Acer LCD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824009145

Samsung and Asus pretty much are the best you can get. LG are excellent as well, the rest are ok but not gaming quality in my opinion!
We sell them all here and I pretty much tested most brands. Samsung and Asus are tops when it comes to LCD monitors make sure and get a 2ms. When it comes to RMA in case you ever have a problem Asus is hands down the leader in customer support!

I had to deal with Samsung support on one occasion and they were very easy to deal with also.
Anything with 5ms or less should be good for gaming. |

Thats one of the reasons i've had a CRT as a gaming monitor for so long. But now I need the desk space that my CRT is taking up, so I want a high quality LCD to replace it. |
