Is it worth the extra money for the 9800GTX over the 9800GT? I'm to be playing Crysis and Microsoft Flight Sim. X. Here are the 2 cards I'm looking at. thanks

I would say no but you can look at the charts on this link and form your own opinion.

I think I'm going to go with this card instead. Any thoughts about it?

The GTX is a little too expensive for me. Will my power supply be strong enough, I have an Xclio goodpower 500w.

Requirements: Minimum of a 500 Watt power supply.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 36 Amp Amps.) |

Your PSU should be fine for the Radeon 4870, but it doesn't make the cut for the Geforce GTX260.

Also I have two more questions. My motherboard has a PCI express 1.0 not 2.0 slot, and I have XP which uses Direct x 9. Will that effect the performance of the card?

Nope. 2.0 cards run in 1.0 slots at that speed and you wouldn't notice any difference. You'll have to use DX9, but it shouldn't affect performance.
