Tversity not recognizing h264 file

I've been having a problem with Tversity. It recognizes all of the video files (.avi, .wmv) that I have in the shared folder, but when I added an h264 file that I converted from mkv, it doesn't show up in my library. I converted on a mac using MKV Tools and it opens perfectly fine in Windows Media Player, but TVersity doesn't seeme to recognize it. Does anybody have a suggestion on what I might need to do? Thank you.

Try using a different program. there are tons of free players out there. VLC and GOM just to name a few
