SB x-fi sound card digital??
I have the SB X-FI card and this car has digital optical outputs on it.
I took my optical cable and connected the sound card to my logitech z-5500 speakers, and i went into vista's control panal and enabled spdif output to be default. HOWEVER, everything comes out in 'stereo' mode on my speakers....Now I have the speakers themselves in optical mode but it displays EFFECT: STEREO on them! games, DVDS, music, EVERYTHING! .....except when i do a 'test' in vista for digital....then it displays digital sound?? I am so confused and think i am just missing something basic? ALSO....my Sound Blaster control panel thinks i only have two speakers hooked up...but i have 5.1??? PLEASE HELP! |
