Need a Replacement for Radeon 9800

Hi,
My ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128 MB DDR is biting the dust. I have cleaned it, re-seated it and updated the software (which made it worse). It's in a Dell Dimension 8300. Dell wants me to replace the whole thing, and since this is the second time I have been bitten by Dell, I have decided (with everyone's help) to build my own. BUT, I need the old one to continue on until I do.

If any one can point me to a replacement for this card, I would be eternally grateful.

If all you need is a card to tide you over then there's no point in paying much for one.
Your first bet is to just ask around, friends and neighbors may have your replacement part sitting in a parts box and you'll never know till you ask.

Failing that both Amazon and Newegg still carry AGP cards, don't look at anything over $50.
You need something like this : http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-256-A8-N3...8205270&sr=1-7

or maybe this list from Newegg : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...25%20-%20%2450

This would be a good, budget upgrade from your former card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102073
