External PSU for graphics card

Is it possible to hook up a second (externally) PSU to run the graphics card? Any risk to the computer?

You may be able to get something cobbled together, but I recommend doing it right and upgrading the original PSU. I'm assuming this is the same Dell as your other thread, so lets keep the discussion there> Dell PSU
