Camcorder Choices
Hopefully I have put this in the proper forum. Please move it if necessary.
I'm looking around for a camcorder and it looks like JVC and Panasonic are good choices. I'm looking at something between $200 and $300 or so. Also, what is the best capture method? I see HDD, SDHC, SD, etc. I'm really dumb on this subject and don't want to go out and buy one without knowing something about them. TIA Carl |

I own Panasonics cheapest model from a few years ago and it has been a great camera. I think I paid around $250 for it. Mine uses MiniDV tape. CamcorderInfo.com is an excellent site for in-depth reviews of camcorders.
I generally favor Panasonic as their products perform well and they are always solidly built and reliable. Sanyo, however, has some nice compact flash based HD camcorders that may be exactly what you want. Sanyo is actually now owned by Panasonic. http://www.camcorderinfo.com/content...view-36280.htm
