Is this in a particular program?
Or is this in windows itself? You should be able to go back to where you picked it from, and there will probably be a choice of none.

Thanks for your reply, but thats my issue, there is no "none" to choose. and this voice has taken over everything....anything I watch on youtube or anywhere else is in this stupid voice. It's driving me crazy!

Where did you go to set the voice? What program, and what options did you set?

I just went to control panel, sounds, speech and audio devices, speech, and text to speech. I picked one of the voices, thinking it would be used just for speech recognition software....i've even tried to do a system restore to no avail....

A stab in the dark - check your accessibility options in control panel.

Might try seeing if it's just Narrator that's turned on. Do you have a box on the taskbar at the bottom that says "Narrator"? If so, click it so it opens up Narrator and click Exit to make the narrator stop talking. If not, try going the long way around....not sure which OS you're using, but on mine (Win XP) it's under Start>All Programs>Accessories>Accessibility>Narrator. If you're on Vista or another OS, try looking under wherever your Accessibility folder is for that Narrator and Exit it.
