No Video on bootup

Hello all

I have and emachine desk top model T2825. I have no video on bootup. I've tried replacing my monitor with a known good one with no change. I just get that message on the monitor that no signal is present. Now once in in a great while the video will show up on a reboot and go about a day and quit working again. Is this a problem with the video driver or the BIOS? I know I probably should just go out and get another computer but if there is an easy/cheap fix I would like to know.

Thanks

A more likely cause is a PSU that is starting to die. A PSU in e-machines dieing is fairly common. And the bad part is that when a PSU dies in e-machines it tends to take out the motherboard.
